Scenario: someone points out how the FOSS and Linux movements are infested by zealots.

Correct response: yep, those fanboys are pretty lame and are giving the community a bad name. The more sensible types definitely need to rein them in.

Freedomite response: O YEA WELL UR A HIPOCRIT CUZ MICRO$HAFT WINDOZE (L)USERS ARE ALSO FANBOYZ AND UR BEING JUST LIKE LINUX ZELUTS SO THERE

I’d be really impressed if they could actually dig up some fanboi material and post it somewhere, because I haven’t seen any.

If you ask them for any, you’d be linked to linsux – another hideout for “Micro$oft booster” according to Dr. Roy. And if you said then, but that page is mainly populated with BSD or OSX users, the freedomite uses magic row shift and attacks BSD as Micro$oft’s favorite license, since they want to steal the source code, and therefore want no copyleft and OSX as overpriced and that.

Also keep in mind that every Windows fanboi is paid and bribed, of course!

There are definitely Windows and Microsoft fanboys out there, but they have about a 100:1 ratio to the Linux/FOSS types. The simple fact is, sticking up for Microsoft and Windows simply isn’t cool on the intarwebz.

But as noted, the most critical and prominent anti-Linux groups and sites are run not by Microsoft but have a large portion of Mac, BSD and even disgruntled Linux users. They don’t want to admit just how bad Linux zealotry is and they don’t want to admit that the “community” is Linux’s worst enemy; not Microsoft.
