Some idea that a person would have to give an application root privileges to do irreversible damage. This of course pertains solely to the protected system components that, frankly, can be replaced much easier than my terabyte of porn. Let’s also hope that no program is keeping my payment information in my home folder, lest somebody steal that as well.

The permissions system still protects you, whether you want to believe that or not.
Hoppi, I’m not sure you get the point of these trademarks. This one for example, is about the fanboys that believe that the standard user permissions is enough to protect them from any and all malware.
Sorry I’m just ranting I think lol
I don’t like the idea of a whole site set up to make out Linux “fanboys” are just “freetards” or idiots, like that’s the only reason we could EVER choose to use an OS so teeeeerrible…
I am just venting my issues with the mistruths (and also ignorance) I hear people saying here which are just as bad and sometimes worse than anything said by the open source community!
Hoppi, you have websites set to make out “Winblows” and “Wintards”. To say that you have a vote is highly hypocritical.
@Hoppi, this site is just a mirror of the FOSS community. We don’t make things up here, we simply take the things they say all the time and document them as Trademarks.
If you want someone to blame, look inwards.
