The lack thereof is what all Winbreds share in common.

Posted from a Linux desktop with a wired Ethernet card.

Upvoted, simply because I’m surprised that you might actually have a point for once.

There was a point to this?

Upvoted. Because that’s exactly what Adam King doesn’t want.

Also, it’s amusing as hell that dear Adam doesn’t even seem to notice his entry is effectively a You Don’t Need That™.

upvoted because, for once, Adam actually DID tell the truth: you CAN post from a wired ethernet card using Linux… hell most anyone can do it.

However, if you have a Broadcom (and random others) card, you can’t be guaranteed to get a working connection, even if you use “teh Cummuniteez” supplied “driver”. For once Adam, you DID hit the nail on “teh hed”. :D

The very notion that you even have to know what a wifi driver is in 2011 is laughable.

That’s like having to ask if the gas is unleaded.

Non voted, to keep the balance in the force. Posted from my chair with a cup of tee.

Again, PROVE ME WRONG kid and post a non-mac x86-64 laptop that has a working WiFi under Linux, without having to use update-killing binary blobs.
