Only a genuine dribbling cretin (or a grandma who hasn’t been to re-education camp) would want a system that works out of the box.

Only an idiot would want applications that install via some sort of farcical GUI that suggests sensible default choices and forces the poor idiot user to click repeatedly on the “carriage return” button.

New, gleaming Arch Distro will not only get rid of those nasty Stallman teeth stains, but will also give you:

A Simple Build System.

Who knew? It’s apparently based on the Bash shell. It may or may not feature m4, autoconfig, etc, etc. It will be simple, and will not frighten experts.

Praise The Lord!

Those of us who worship at the Church of Soft and Free Goodiness will now be able to sleep soundly in our beds tonight …

... secure in the knowledge that the SimpleBuildSystem will have simply built us our simple dagnabitted system by, oh, say, half past five in the afternoon?

Warning to kiddies expecting lashings of cream and such: you may experience an Error 2 at around a quarter past five.

Ya gotta admit, though. It’s simple.

Good to know we won’t be bogged down with that “stable API/ABI” garbage anytime soon.
