We all know this one. When a Loon like SJVN discusses what he sees as possible problems with Linux that also occur in … oh well, insert operating system here. I’m sure he’s consumed with hatred for OpenSolaris … there are two clear and present reasons:
(1) Windows is heinously at fault. It’s insecure and closed-source and monopolistic and has an unfair marketing advantage and is just, generally, naughty.
(2) Linux sprinkles magic pixie dust. True, the exact same problem is still there. In fact, it might well be worse; even catastrophic. But the magic pixie dust will make you feel all better.
Really, I’m only posting this one to make sure that it’s available as a link — the search function on Django seems to show that it’s there, but not there at the same time. Naughty Pixie Dust, perhaps?
