Linux zealotry can be compared to quackery due to the similarities of said both. For example, quack doctors and Linux zealots start with emotionally pleasing hypotheses and ignore conflicting evidence.
Linux zealotry often relies on sloppy “research” cough crap cough. They make positive Linux articles from shitty Linux websites like TuxRadar their friends and don’t check their results. Some Linux zealots don’t even use Linux in general, let alone a certain distro that they are promoting.
Linux zealotry often relies on its supporters to spout bogus “facts” at will, instead of checking their results thoroughly. Also, Linux zealotry does not make much progression, so don’t be surprised when the next Desktop Ubuntu edition was promoted to have graphic bugs fixed, but they really aren’t.
Linux zealotry literature is aimed at a general public. In addition, a Linux zealot may live a portion of his/her life promoting Linux incorrectly. Linux zealots attempt to convert, not convince. Linux zealots also tell you that you, the average user, can fix the bugs yourself, but do you know how to fix Linux, let alone whip up a more complicated Hello World program?
Linux zealots often tell you about malware scenarios on Windows, but how many viruses do you really get on your Windows computer? Common sense solves many of your security problems, but Linux doesn’t, because it’s not immune to viruses. This article about Microsoft explains that the solution is not “Everybody use Linux” because the same clueless users who turn off their antivirus to install malware will cheerfully log in as root to do the same thing in Linux.
Linux zealotry can strike opponents with amusement. Unfortunately, this is not wise, as in plenty of scenarios, Linux zealotry can strike average users with undesirable effects. Linux zealotry can cause a company or school to have reduced productivity. Normal users can also unnecessarily waste time by trying to fix a Linux system with bad programming that messes them up.
Please note that I have some contradictions in here, especially conflicting evidence from my “ditched” blog Microsoft Eradication. Excuse me and ignore the shitty crap that I write on there. I would also like to thank Quackwatch for providing me ideas that I can link to Linux zealotry. Finally, I would like to end with a simplification below.
TL;DR (Too lazy/long to read) Linux zealotry is like quackery.
Thank you for taking your time to read this, and have a good day.

This seems to be a good example of a recursive TM.
