Is that “noose” of proprietary software still around your neck? No problem, comrade! Just run a Windows install inside VirtualBox and voila! Of course, the emulation is sub-par and performance takes a gigantic knock, but at least you’ll be FREE!*
*Except for the fact that you're still running Windows and using proprietary software.

Honestly, the only way to get decent productivity software is to run XP + Office inside a Vbox window. Hell, IE in seamless mode actually gives you LESS audio/video stutter on youtube. Go figure. Not to mention, you could just install WIndows…....
