Linux advocates will often defend Linux and/or the CLI by claiming they are Sys Admins at some large company with x number of computers (usually several hundreds or thousands) and they need the CLI to administer all of the updates or to lock down the network from malware.
The Sys Admin will then go on to state that because of his/her/its extensive use of the CLI, it is way smarter about how computers actually work than if it had used a system or software package that allowed them to secure or update computers on the network through use of click and point GUIs.

I'll bet most of the Linux Youth claiming to be sys admins are too young to remember the BBS days when they called themselves "sysops".
I know most are WAY to young to remember buying software that was actually just a manual with codes in it that you had to hand type into the pc then save to a real paper floppy.

who needs stinkin' LongPHPCodes(TM)?
When a freetard uses this it's proof positive he is a kid in his parent's basement.
I would like to meet a sysop who uses only CLI... I imagine his fingers would hurt after typing for 8 hours straight every single day, as opposed to point-n-clicking for 4.
