The constant reliance upon antiquated hardware and software. Antiquated hardware due to finical limitations (see dumpster diving)or being cheap. Antiquated software due to the fact that software tends to break after applying an update.

Could you slow down a little bit? This isn’t even a real TM. What next, OnlyNeggirsUseLinux)TM)?

(Yes, a strawman. I know. But used as a hypothetical exemplar.)

You’ve got no style. That’s acceptable on LHB, where people will wind past your post; but the TMRepository is a structured database. Just firing off whatever comes into your lower medulla doesn’t cut the mustard.

I say let him continue. He’s articulate and nobody really has addressed the “linux runs on old hardware” angle yet.

You could say that I am poring definitions from my web page. Linux Haters Blog was where the idea of a TM repo was born. From the comments on LHB, I derived the initial list of TMs.

Whammo:

I’m with you in general. I’d just like to see a trickle, rather than a torrent.

There are three problems with flooding this site:

(1) It’ll be hard to clean up afterwards. The site is Django-based, and I’m not sure the ORM is trivial to manipulate when Administrator wants to move things around.
(2) It’s just my personal opinion, but I’d prefer to see TMs in the wild — preferably more than once. Ideally, each one should have irritated a freetard. Some of your TMs fit this description. Some of them, I’m not so sure about.
(3) There’s a certain aesthetic about a genuine TM. I’m not sure what it is, but I feel we should all aim for it. I think the watchword is “wuality before quantity.”

Having said that, I really like:

Don’tTouchMyCheese™
Gold!(TM) and
CriticizingLinuxIsOhSnapGodwin’ed™

I don’t think the last one is ready for circulation yet, but you can bet your bottom dollar that some Lintard will give you the opportunity…
