A Durden is the universal unit of measurement for all fictitious statistical data that a Linux advocate will invent in an attempt to win an argument.

Background

The name is derived from Tyler Durden, a character played by Brad Pitt in the 1999 film, Fight Club. The character is a fictional personality that Edward Norton’s character manifests when he can no longer cope with life.

Usage

Like any unit of measurement, a Durdan can be combined with any unit multiplier, such as “kilo”, “mega”, or “giga” to exponentially increase its value.

“My household render farm outputs more than 1.21 GigaDurdens!”
