It’s amusing and tragic hearing a Linux user install or upgrade their OS and cheerfully brush off any loss of functionality.
“I just tried (DistroX). It went alright, but it doesn’t see my card reader. But that’s fine, since I don’t really need it!”
“When I upgraded, my wireless stopped working. But that’s cool, since I don’t always use it! Tee hee!”
Of course, if Mac or Windows were to give such issues, we’d never hear the end of their bashing.

Haha, yeah. Linux users seem to be very adept at coping with loss.
Yeah, especially since the first thing they lost was their common sense.
i don’t understand how can the same i915 driver and x.org blow chunks in one distro but work in the other. on a dimension 3000 ubuntu loads a broken x.org and fedora works fine.
