Based on Cargo Cult Usability.
Ever wondered why multiplicitous Desktop distros thrash around from one desktop (Gnome) to the next (KDE), and why the Loonz spend so much time debating the merits of each? Ever wondered why any given distro spends 99% of the precious 6 month period between releases just moving the deck-chairs around on the desktop?
I used to think it was sheer incompetence, but PieStar has convinced me that it’s all part of a religious cult.
So, no surprise there, then.
