It’s so nice having Kerberos back at Piestar — he brings weevils out of the woodwork in a way nobody can match. Possibly by being polite and reasoned, either one of which is beyond, say, me.
This TM is dedicated to his latest commentating friend, Janne. I’d add a permalink, but I’ve never figured out how to do that. Basically, after a whole lot of flailing around and being kindly rebutted, Janne comes out with this truly self-revelatory comment:
I didn’t know there were so many bitter Windows users out there.
Possibly because there aren’t. It’s an old 20th century mass-marketing trick, and I forget whether it was Goebbels, Stalin, or even possibly Orwell who came up with it: defend your own community by accusing The Other of precisely your own faults.
In a polarised world, this works a treat.
Not so much if your side can only claim 1% or less of the market. But who cares? Empty rhetoric is far more fun than programming or catering to users’ needs.

He sounded like as if Piestar.net was dedicated to Linux eradication.
“I didn’t know there were so many bitter Windows users out there.”
They always forget people use macs too.
So, I’m guessing that when Adam calls Windows users butt-hurt it means he is the one butt-hurt by Linux? Well yes.. that really does make sense since Linux can’t even break the 1% margin (statistical noise) after nearly two decades of flailing. And never mind that there are probably more old copies of outdated editions of say, Adobe Photoshop, still in use than there are total users of The G.I.M.P.
Bitter, bitter to the core… oh, wait… not at all, actually.
Windows 7 can bring a smile on your face once you realise how powerful and easy to work with it is.

Now I feel like trying out Windows 7!
Never mind that Windows XP suites me entirely. Hmm when should I upgrade?
You will want to use the following:
Classic Shell (classic start menu and more):
