Apparently you install Ubuntu 11.04, leave it two weeks, and return to it.
At which point (whether or not it asks for permission is perhaps a moot point) it requires a download of 62 updates worth 111Mb.
Smell the Quality!

And considering that the super new Ubuntu Desktop, aka OSX-for-Grandma, aka Ripoff-U-Hate, is explicitly designed for smartphones and tablets, this particular featurette of the Linux Desktop is going to prove tremendously popular with users, isn’t it?
Data Plan? We don’t need no stinkin’ Data Plan!

Speaking of Linux updates. I just love this “Linux doesn’t require reboot after updates”. Update system is so stupid that it cannot recognize that some files were replaced and need to be reloaded in memory? Let’s pretend it’s a FEATURE.
Unupdated bits of code are still executed? Who cares – Linux is InherentlySecure™ and InherentlyStable™
Good thing hibernating doesn’t work in Linux anyways, so users will reboot system rather sooner than later anyways.

Lol, Ubuntu’s fundamental flaws are completely hidden by it’s superficial flaws.
P.S.: IMO, having to reboot after an Update isn’t a real problem. Rebooting and finding out that the update broke your wifi is.
Actually, I will be the Anonymous who posted that little bit of info. And as I stated at the time, if Microsoft had that many updates after 1 1/2-2 weeks Loons would be trumpeting it as a massive failure. But since it is Loonix they will claim it is swift response.
My question is still this: If you have that many problems that needs to be fixed that often, why do you act like the system is perfect? STFU and GTFO loons
Oooooo… 8 more updates worth another 3MB of downloads….. sigh
And this is gonna sell Ubuntu tablets, how?

I think there is a hidden TM here regarding reboots, can’t quite see it yet.
Hey, hey, hey. Don’t insult Aqua by comparing it to Unity, Aqua still allows you access to “administrator” functions without needing to completely log out and select a completely different UI altogether.
