The mistaken belief that fridges, routers, desktops, supercomputers, and servers all require the exact same OS configurations. This leads to the even more mistaken belief that because an OS can power a supercomputer or a microcontroler it is perfect for the desktop. Truely my fridge runs Windows XP home and my desktop runs VxWorks.
