I’m gonna keep this brief. I actually agree with Stallman on a lot of this. But … is this a case where the Founder can see his Vision slipping away, into the clouds?

And does the Founder have the Technology?

Answers on the back of a boxed set of the Matrix trilogy, please.

Thanks, GNU foundation. Computing has always been very complexing to me but you’ve cleared it up nicely. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to sacrifice animals to my angry deity.

I truly wish someone would make a site like, “GNU-haughty By Design: The Case Against The Free Software Foundation” or “GNU: The Internet’s Version Of PETA”.

This is going to confuse the freetards who’ve cozied up to Google. Software as a service is like the ultimate proprietary software since you don’t even give the users a compiled version of the code.

While I have no problem with it, the freetards might. Then again, they’re mostly just ABMers who just want to see Google kill Microsoft.

Reading over the article in detail, the FSF basically doesn’t want anyone to use the web. You don’t have any of the executable code on your computer, so how can you assertain what it does (oh right, other than USING it!).

I especially love the “Windows spies on you, an so does Media Player and RealPlayer” remarks.

Basically, they want folks to live how Richard Stallman lives. No Internet, nothing commercial and especially no recent technological gadgets.

Hell, he doesn’t even use cell phones, and encourages others to do the same. As somebody whose life was saved, LITERALLY, thanks to my cell phone, I can tell that Stallman’s being a total douche.

And what’s his rationale behind it? It “may” compromise your privacy. WTF?! What’s wrong with that man and his obsession on privacy? I’m not a criminal, I’ve got nothing to hide… I don’t give two f—-s if people know where I am and what I’m doing at any given time. Has Stallman got something to hide?

If he’s totally obsessed with privacy and sees conspiracies everywhere, fine, but indoctrinating others just makes him another L. Ron Hubbard.
