Partly to introduce SJVN’s new idiot blog.
Also to highlight his complete inability to admit to rampant paranoia. Last week’s cliff-hanger, in case y’all forgot, was the deep and important question of cui bono, as regards the fire-sale of Novell. Why, Microsoft, of course! Via the shadowy shell of CPTN Holdings!
This week’s episode, kiddies, introduces a new villain. Actually, villains. Not just two new villains, but three new villains! And who are these villains, I hear you ask?
Well, they’re the fairly obvious candidates: Apple and Oracle (OS) and EMC (networking/SAN). But Microsoft is still in there, so SJVN wasn’t really paranoid at all. If you think about it, the only reason that Apple and Oracle and even EMC exist is to benefit Microsoft’s bottom line and to perpetuate this monstrous corporate cabal. Otherwise why would such large corporations even bother talking to eachother?
Bah.
Observe, if you will, the following sign of classic paranoid FUD:
I do know EMC. Ironically, EMC is VMware’s parent company….
...Nevertheless, the deals do keep Novell’s SUSE Linux out of Microsoft’s rival VMware hands. Yes, VMware and Microsoft are more enemies than friends these days.
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds; but even little minds generally manage to stay consistent in their argument over a mere three paragraphs.
SJVN, little shrunken hobgoblin, I salute you!
