Many thanks to Roy Schestowitz (of all people) for this one.
It’s up for trial on March 8th in that universally beloved metropolis of Tyler, Texas.
Should you guys wish to sell either stock short … well, I’m sure you know the ticker for Microsoft. Virnetxc is AMEX:VHC. It’s to do with VPN patents. An obvious Microsoft monopoly.
I mean, I’d hate to let the opportunity slip you by.
So, who else is on Larry Oakley’s list? Well, nobody important:
- HP
- Motorola
- CSCO (I think that’s Cisco. I’m not sure that EarthTimes uses the Windows spell-checker)
- VeriSign
- RIMM
- Nokia
- Verizon
- Avaya
- Juniper
- AT&T
- Siemens
- NEC
- Nortel
- Ericsson
- Vodaphone
I’m not kidding you. I wish I were kidding you. This is the tech short-selling opportunity of a lifetime!
Also, it’s ridiculous FUD.

I’m not entirely sure what patents they are are claiming since the article doesn’t seem to present actual numbers. I suppose it is possible that they have a case. I’m not aware of Google, or HP providing VPN services though.
My question is, is this an actual company or a patent troll. I’m was unable to locate any products they sell and you always have to wonder about something with the word “Holdings” in their title.
Now, I have to decide if it is worth trying to drive to the trial to be amused by absurdity.
