This is kind of old, but it certainly shows how much more Firefox devs are fixated to spouting “anything but Microsoft” rhetoric than offering their users anything of actual benefits.

So, what does the “adoption rate” of Firefox reveal in Dotzler’s line graph? Absolutely nothing. In fact, all this time he bangs on about “modern browsers”, he has done little more than preaching to his own choir.

Even if we go play Dotzler’s game and assume that statcounter.com statistics are in some way representative of actual Internet usage and that they somehow also reflect accurately the market shares as occupied by all browsers, the pool of Firefox users, as shown in the above graph, is at best in the state of stagnation and has since September 2010 been slowly evaporating away. The real kicker, though, is this:

Look, Dolzler – this is the Internet collectively not giving a crap about your HTML5 “race”. They want to phase out XP and IE8 when they feel like to, and, for now, it’s either HTML4 or total bunk. Take it or lose it.

Notice how the decline in IE usage directly correlates to the climb in Chrome usage? The Firefox faithful don’t want to admit that all those former IE users are skipping right past Firefox and going to Chrome.

As a fun note, notice in the article’s URL:
“firefox 4 pulls fart”.

Which is a pretty much accurate description.

Well, it’s always the way you look at it, and it’s no news that freetards always will tweak stats to favour them.

LOL, remember me of The Simpsons.

Homer: “You can prove anything with stats, 14% of the people know it.”
