This FUD is hilarious. It’s horribly outdated. Even with the contributors helping this page, it still reeks the mental capacity of a deranged pigeon (thanks JM for that line). This is why Microsoft Eradication failed.
Let’s see what garbage was spewed in here:
Here’s a thought: Windows 7 retained the same hard disk space requisite from Vista, only doubling the RAM required to run it from Vista. But ...
A source of grade-A FUD brought to you by none other than our beloved Reactosguy. Branded as a sister project to Microsoft Complaints and Microsoft Sucks! (which we over at Linsux.org have passed around, laughed at and gleefully tossed into the abyss of forgotten memory), Microsoft Eradication exists for the sole reason that some silly kiddy has decided that his spare time is better spent sharing his naive vision of the business world to unsuspecting readers rather than learning something useful for his own benefits. Without further introduction, let’s have a look at what exactly Reactosguy is trying ...
Seriously, does anyone in business even care about what this wacky ol’ lady has to say about anything?
If Steve is to be believed, 95 percent of the world’s desktop computers run Windows. That, in biological terms, is what we call a “monoculture,” meaning that there is an overwhelming predominance of one particular species.
Pity this poor soul – I think she is beginning to confuse computers with living beings, or felines, in particular.
Linux, by contrast, offers considerable strength in its diversity.
Or in biological terms, “mutations”. I am sorry, but the same inconsistencies in “shells”, “packaging systems”, “mail ...

You seem like a customer who knows what he wants, sir. For that reason, I am going to show you some premium FUD. Not the usual “value” FUD, aimed at the price-conscious consumers, but prosumer-level FUD, that only a veteran like you can appreciate.
Quick, have a look at the spec list errr… TM list and see for yourself.
Are there, perhaps, Five Stages of FUD?
First we have Noyes contradicting her own FUD and claiming that Pain Is Good, and now we have Robert Strohmeyer (feed from .Net Jerkface: Anonymous@10/18/2010 07:47:00 AM) admitting that all that bad stuff we keep pointing out about desktop Linux is, er, true.
Despite [Linux FUD]—Linux simply isn’t catching on with desktop users.

Linux desktop market share remains stagnant at around 1 percent.

Though I personally wish that the opposite were true, the year of the Linux desktop will never come.

Although Asus managed to spark ...
Some quotes:
“ReactOS is the future of Windows. What Linux did to commercial Unix, ReactOS will do to Windows.”
“Linux: An operating system that is not tied to a specific vendor is critical to the diversity and competitiveness of the computing industry, and Linux delivers. A world without Linux would be like a world where IBM PC compatible computers were still only available from IBM!”
“A web browser is an application that retrieves documents over a network, and renders them on a computer screen.
To think of a web browser as more than that is insanity. Yet people insist on ...
Ever wonder why Larry E. was bothered enough to buy out Sun Microsystems? That’s right – Solaris is now officially dead!
This is the same kind of cretinous arguments that Linux advocates spout in the Linux Hater’s Blog comment section – that the statistics from top500.org are somehow a proper reflection of the high-throughput blade server market or even the low-end desktop market. Never mind the fact that, basing on the same logical, we can pretty much conclude that people are now ditching their high-performance POWER-based infrastructures for Intel Xeon or Windows for Linux despite the obvious fact that ...
Reciprocated by Pogson.
Taking a brief detour around the learned Dr Roy’s post, I note that
Google could do more to suppress a suppressive regime, but Google is a business. That whole scene it made in China was a good PR move.
I’ll leave you to figure out what his devious, rat-like little mind means by that.
Microsoft is, however, Voldemort™, and not a business at all, and certainly not a murderous Stalinist dictatorship. It’s an IllegalMonopoly™, which is far worse than any of that.
Consequently, it is extremely important to show that Microsoft is losing out ...
Sorry fanboys. There will never be a year of the Linux desktop. Adrian Kingsley-Hughes tells the kids to move on to other things, however he doesn’t realize in places “Linux” dominates, it’s not the kids running the show. Google doesn’t let the kids argue over what desktop environment the mobile phone runs. TiVo made RMS mad when they made sure he couldn’t mess things up in there. Whereas, just look at the places the kids are in charge. It’s like “Lord of the Flies”. Tell me what happened to Mameo/Meego or whatever it’s ...
You want FUD? By God, we got FUD!
Not new FUD, but definitive FUD.
For a massive demolition of the whole RMS “philosophy,” I refer you to Linux Victim. However, I think this article is the best example I’ve yet seen of how GNU FUD has got its filthy, unkempt grip on the general media. A few quotes, together with comments:
My first thought was that he should be institutionalized. (First impressions are always the best, aren’t they?)
The most momentous product of Stallman’s genius, Linux, was the first operating system to feature software that was entirely ...
