Julian Assange, freedom crusader general and an honorary pastor of the church of GNU/Linux, today won the right to appeal his case of obviously rigged rape charges to the UK’s supreme court. Hopefully they’ll throw out this garbage made up by the world’s governments just to strike terror into the hearts of those who would fight for freedom of information.

Again, what does it have to do with this site?

(Now, watch as Admin wusses out again on banning this chump for being offtopic.

Or, as I have come to call that, Warning++(TM))

Need2BFree, you were warned. You’re gone.

“Need2BFree, you were warned. You’re gone.”

Some balls at last.

I’ll allow ridiculous rhetoric to many extremes as long as it stays on topic. Need2BFree strayed off topic even after being warned.

It’s got nothing to do with balls. I’m not going to ban anyone based on character, only on their content.

Once again I leap to the defence of Need2BFree. Apart from the tricked-up rhetoric (and I see no harm in that), this is arguably his most relevant post yet. I mean, I’ve posted a FUD on Steve Jobs. Lots of FUDs start with the obviously disqualifying line “This isn’t really FUD but…” And there’s plenty of irrelevant stuff in the Stream.

Now, if you’re going to tell me that the Stream is designed for that sort of stuff, but FUDs are not (putting words into your mouth, of course), weeeellll… That’s uncomfortably close to the old (and current) bulletin board tactic of telling a n00b: You’re on the wrong thread.

Not that I’m not glad to see the back of the little twerp. I just fail to see the rationale.

I guess the difference is, you weren’t on probation.

The rules are hardly pellucid, are they?

One silly post every other week does not a felon make.

I told him to stay on topic, he failed to do so. I’m pretty lenient, but he was pushing it. Especially with claims that Assange is “an honorary pastor of the church of GNU/Linux”.

I realize it’s inflammatory rhetoric, but there has to be a little more connection to the topic than the fact that “wiki” is mentioned in the title!

@DrLoser

It‘s a different thing being slightly off topic, like posting things about tech leaders and tech companies (Steve Jobs, Google etc), and between posting about Julian Assange or even Global warming…

Just out of curiosity, from IP addresses – is Adam = Need2BFree?
