Little Bobby Pogson ends the year by trying to compete with SJVN in the prediction stakes. 2012? Year of Microsoft giving Windows away for free! (Pogson doesn’t admit that he’d hate it even if it was free.) Why? Coff coff ARM! coff coff...

I feel the same way about Magimixes, personally. I mean, yes, they do the job. But they’re hardly magical, are they? Such a disappointment.

I particularly like how the freetards act as if the x86 platform gave prominence to windows, and not windows giving prominence to the x86 platform.
The PowerPC (pegassos) and Sparc platforms were totally dominated with linux, and we all saw how this worked out. In fact, the main reason these two platforms tanked was the lack of any serious support from microsoft windows.
Anyway, the ARM crowd thinks that the move towards ARM will give rise to Android and make windows (phone) fail. Never mind that Android has engaged into a war with itself with all these third party derivatives (sense, xperia etc), like the unix wars some decades ago, and microsoft will most likely win this round too.
I cant wait. Seeing all this retoric about microsoft keeping people locked in through the need for legacy support collapse onto its ass.
