The Register has been corrupted be the foul taint emanating from Redmond Washington. Unbeknownst to the hapless denizens of the interwebs, the Registers new pro-Microsoft bias manifests as writing articles that contain quotations from Eric Schmidt who describes the envisioned roll of carriers, Vodafone’s CEO griping about Google’s dominance in the online marketplace, and security flaws in Google Buzz.
...
The ellipsis signifies my inability to make the connection between these articles and any supposed Microsoft bias. Apparently, since Google competes with Microsoft outside of Microsoft’s core competencies (I’m excluding phones since really, does WinMo count as competency?) any condemnation of Google by third parties is an endorsement of Microsoft. Thus, any criticism of Google obviously translates to being a M$ Fanboi since without Google’s abuse of the FOSS community however will they achieve dominance.
Furthermore, the linked article explaining how Microsoft has “bought” the Register is basically the frothing ravings of a regular BN reader. The Register running a story on mixed environments with virtualization is somehow an advertisement for Microsoft… which means Microsoft payed the Register. Or something.
Back to the crystal ball to figure out what these people are actually thinking.
Edit: Upon waking up today and preparing for a few more articles from BN I realized that they are still willing to cite from the Register when it suits them. In fact, observe http://boycottnovell.com/2010/02/18/steve-jobs-glorifies-self/ where the link at the end of the first paragraph cites a Register article. Granted, the article says nothing of the sort to what BN actually claims it does but they still cited it.

It reminds me a lot of Jack Chick’s work (which I’ve linked to in previous postings). You’ll see in his tracts and books, the sources he sites for his claims (ie, evolution is a hoax, Catholicism is Satanic, etc.) are his own books. All BN needs to do is start publishing and distributing tracts (for free, in the open source spirit) and they’ll be the Jack Chick of the IT world.
He really is wigging out, isn’t he?
“Let’s learn our lessons from Gates and his foundation, which is being used for monopolisation and self glorification more than anything else.”
I’m too tired to look at the link. I sort of understand the “self glorification” bit, because as we all know the Linux Desktop is a cure for malaria and stuff the whole world over.
But, “monopolisation?” How many syllables does it take this idiot before he completely loses his train of thought?
