Many eyes are still busy reviewing PHP 5.4. So look what RC6 brought up:
- Hash . Removed Salsa10/Salsa20, which are actually stream ciphers (Mike)
Wait what? Those existed since ext/hash was added to PHP. And now you notice they are stream ciphers?!
For Adam King who thinks Microsoft is synonymous with evil and Mafia and the like, Apple has decided that they own whatever you publish through its “iTextbook” service. Your work they benefit from, and they can block you from republishing it elsewhere. Your work. Even Apple fanatic John Gruber calls this move Apple at its worst.
Do you really think Apple is going to join your freetard crusade?
Congressman are running as far away from the satanic abomination that is sopa as they can because they are finally learning to fear the people.
For those not in the know, during the last couple of years or so, Eric S Raymond is using his blog to jerk off at Android’s market share, in a series of posts called “the smartphone wars”. Every time the latest figures arrive, showing even a slight increase in Android market share, Eric unzips his pants and off we go: “Oh Android… you are so ooopen… your market share is so huuuge..,”, etcetera. Plus the usual predictions of how Nokia, RIM and Apple (yes, Apple) are doomed. Unsurprisingly, his latest post is business as usual.

Courtesy of OMGCC. Read how Google undermines Mocality, a mobile business directory in Kenya, trying to steal their clients by making fraudulent claims.
But because Google crapped out a cheap iOS’ knock off, called Android and occasionally gave the freetards things to masturbate on, apparently Google can do nothing unethical or morally wrong. Well, guess what – contributing to the open source wont fix the fact, that Google is yet another corporation, that will do its best to f*ck the competition however it can, if it has the opportunity and nobody is watching.
Courtesy of Pog, this one has an extraordinarily beautiful “infographic” explaining Debian on a twenty year timeline.
It’s a master-class in FUD, though. Don’t worry about the reality: Shiny New Thing!
Continuing good tradition of NotExactlyFUDâ„¢, here is a nice read from famous Linux/OpenGL/GPL lover John Carmack. He is apparently not a loon:
The most important thing I have done as a programmer in recent years is to aggressively pursue static code analysis. Even more valuable than the hundreds of serious bugs I have prevented with it is the change in mindset about the way I view software reliability and code quality.
I wonder who is a better programmer Carmack or Pog-San.
