What’s with the FOSS crowd and these shopping lists?

Anyway, just a little nugget of FUD to start your morning off. High on touchy-feely fanboyness and low on concrete and objective points.

Their list reads:

  • Evolve (yeah, from the stone age to the bronze age)
  • Interoperability (yet Linux lacks proper Active Directory support)
  • Package management (dependency hell is a good thing?)
  • Flexibility (MakeItYourOwn™ )
  • Desktop (basically a rehash of Flexibility)

I added a short version of their list with a little commentary.

Yeah, thanks! It’s better now.

I too love to wad thru 23000 useless and incomplete apps. Makes me feel special.

@AntiFundies

What I love most are the super-duper fun gamez. Gnometris, ktris, xtris, tuxracer, supertuxracerdeluxe… variety, man!

Try and avoid wadding. That’s essentially a basement activity.

Now I come to think about it, wading is also a basement activity.
